Schmick Bricks began as a BrickLink store in late 2016 with the intention to sell off my 1980’s childhood Lego sets to fund my new found passion for modelling old SAR era trains.
As my collection of SAR and CR creations have steadily grown over the past few years, so too have the requests to provide instructions for SAR fans to build their own.
Creating instructions and decal sheets for my models has turned out to be a hugely time-consuming exercise, but providing my instruction packs continue to be well received I’ll gradually work my way through the entire back catalogue, so long as I can still find the time to create all the new models I have in the pipeline.
Each instruction kit listed for sale has been personally designed, built and tested by myself, and in most cases spent many hours pounding the tracks at Lego exhibitions.   No designs are released for sale until they have proved themselves to be durable and reliable.
